SEED offers volunteer opportunities in Tuskegee, Alabama for a day of service at Shady Grove Road Blueberry Patch.  This historic farm is home to over 6,000 blueberry bushes.  Tuskegee farmer Josie Gbadamosi is the owner and operator of 2.5 acreage blueberry farm.   She is in need of assistance in pruning and cultivating the bushes to maximize production.

Instruction will be provided on pruning, cultivation, propagation, blueberry plant management, and regenerative agriculture. Participants will also learn the history of Shady Grove Road Blueberry Farm.  (Please note that blueberries are not in season this time of year.)

Call us at (205) 315-9290 if your group is interested in coming out to the blueberry farm or another farm in Macon County.
